  • New Maine Coastal Island Wilderness Area Proposed by Fish & Wildlife Service

  • In a just-released Draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge, the US Fish & Wildlife service is recommending Wilderness designation for 3,125 acres on 13 islands in the Refuge ranging in size from six to 1,654 acres. The Maine Island Wilderness would be the only coastal wilderness north of Cape Cod.
     
  • Poll Reveals Strong Public Support for Wilderness in Oregon's Hood River County

  • A new poll conducted by the GOP polling firm American Viewpoint finds strong support for wilderness and wild and scenic rivers among Oregon's Hood River County voters.
