  • On Sunday, April 30, 2006, the Tucson based Arizona Daily Star carried a substantive lead opinion article by editorial columnist Jim Kiser calling for Wilderness designation for the Tumacacori Highlands located in southern Arizona.
     
  • Sportsmen Organize to Designate Copper Salmon Wilderness

  • A group of local sportsmen, outfitters, businesses and other interested citizens have organized to support Wilderness designation for the 12,000 acre Copper Salmon area to protect this watershed and ensure that hunting and fishing opportunities are protected.
     
  • Wilderness Legislation Introduced in the 109th Congress

  • Wilderness bills introduced in the 109th Congress.
     
  • Summary of Wilderness Legislation Pending in Congress

  • An up-to-date summary of wilderness bills that have been introduced in the 109th Congress including a summary of any legislative action (hearing, mark up, etc) taken on each measure to date.
