  • The Allegheny National Forest (ANF) released is Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Forest Plan revision recommending only a handful of areas for wilderness protection. 
     
  • Four New Mexico Wilderness Heroes Honored By The Wilderness Society

  • On May 10, 2006, the Wilderness Society hosted a reception in Albuquerque, New Mexico to honor four individuals who have dedicated their time and expertise to campaigns to protect New Mexico's wild places.
     
  • Senate Energy And Natural Resources Subcommittee To Hold Hearing On Eastern Sierra Wilderness Bill

  • On Wednesday, May 24, the Senate Energy and Natural Resource's Public Lands and Forests Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the Eastern Sierra Rural Heritage and Economic Enhancement Act.
